There are three major Everyme product releases today. We are releasing Everyme for Android, Everyme for Web Beta, and version 1.5 of Everyme for iPhone that has some amazing upgrades. Read on for details.
When I first heard Everyme pitch me on their idea for a private social network focused on Circles on the iPhone, I knew it was going to be big but they couldn't do it without Android. As I and other Android users know, it's the best platform for many people, but you have to build apps that are native to Android. You can't just port an iPhone app. I moved across the country in October and joined them as their first employee, under one condition: that they let me take advantage of everything Android has to offer natively. And I'm happy to say that's exactly what we've done, and you can download version 1.0 of our Android app from Google Play right now.
Everyme for Android runs on all Android devices with 2.2 or above. On most of the hundreds of Android phones we support, it performs like a dream. We adhere to the majority of ICS design standards and support many Android specific features, like swipe navigation, photo gallery integration, and the new action bar. It's been a long journey to get the app to where it is today, but it was well worth it so you should let your Android friends know they can now join you in your Circles.
There are two other major announcements we're making that will make it easier to access and create Circles. The first is that we are announcing the public beta of a new, fully-featured web application (and a new homepage) where you can share stories, comments, loves, and create Circles - everything you love doing on Everyme. Now your friends can click from email and immediately participate in your Circle on the web.
Last but not least, Everyme for iPhone has been updated to v1.5 - download it from the App Store now. The new update has some incredible features, like live photo filters, mention alerts, and integration with Instagram that will share your popular Instagram photos with your Circles. We've also added an Export Data feature, because you should always own what you share.
We'd love to hear what you think about our updates so shoot us an email to firstname.lastname@example.org and let us know how we're doing.
